Yoga for mum or Dad, Yoga for baby... Yoga together!
Mum and Baby Yoga classes commence on Thursdays 10.00-11.15AM with our fabulous instructor Stephanie Weir. Giving you the time and energy to meet some of your own, often neglected needs in a warm and supportive environment.
This is for pre natal and post natal - chance to meet new mums in the area and also get some tips and advice for when your baby arrives if the little one hasn't already!
Suitable from 6 weeks postpartum (after GP/midwife check up) until baby is crawling or happy to have them along if they can sit in a bouncer etc for one hour!
Yoga is great for new mum's as it is gentle and will help knit the muscles together. Other benefits below:
The classes include work to strengthen and tone the pelvic floor and the core muscle groups- not just pertinent to new mums but all women post birth.
Shoulder and back release. This will happen within a balanced practice framework including postures, breath work and relaxation.
This Baby yoga encourages playful interaction and communication between parent and baby and promotes healthy development.
Social interaction in a non-competitive environment for both babies and new parents and allows you to workout and your little ones be free in a safe space.
Gain strength, get fit and have some fun with your little one - it's a great way to meet other new Mums and Dads.
If you miss the first one, or need to join part way through the course this is ok and we can sort for you. It will be running in 6 week blocks each time.
